    Umang's Wellness Haven is a special place. It's a place where you can put your ego aside and just be, which can be a sigh of relief.  I've been practicing yoga for 20 years, and Umang is the epitome of a true teacher. She gives you individualized attention and structures the class by feeling out her students. She makes you laugh and never takes it too seriously. I love that she is from India, where yoga originated. She teaches yoga the right way, by telling students to listen and honor their bodies and instilling subtle life lessons into the practice.

    Umang offers a variety of classes, and they are all good for the beginning yogi. If you are a beginner and have never tried yoga before, I highly suggest that you check out Umang's Wellness Haven before any other studio. I noticed she gives beginners confidence and teaches them  the asanas (positions) the right way, by watching what the student is capable of. The individual attention is so important in the beginning of learning yoga! I've watched students at other studios permanently injure themselves because they are forcing something they cannot do because of the lace of instruction. But at Umang's, she really watches her students and suggests modifications. I've also noticed she stresses that breathing is the foundation of our practice, which even though I have been practicing for 20 years, I always seem to forget!

    If you are the type that has practiced yoga before and know the basic asanas and sun salutations, I would suggest the Advanced Class or even the Nia classes. The Advanced Class is truly not that difficult. It's hard for me to get the Advanced Class, which is at 8pm, so I end up going to the All Level's Class, which has mostly beginners. It's good for me though, because as previously mentioned, Umang reinforces the basic foundations and reminds me that yoga is more than just using your strength and flexibility!

    I have also been to her mommy and me yoga class, which is amazing. My 14 month old LOVES her and loves playing with the balls and listening to us chant "Ohm". She can sit in cobbler's pose and walk underneath me as I hold downward dog. Umang is a wonder with kids and keeps them laughing. My daughter was worn out after the class! :-)

    I've also sat in on the Nia class, which is something I want to do next! I couldn't join in on the fun because I had my 14 month old as Nia is right after the Mommy and Me class. But the Nia flow, which is a mixture of dance, yoga, and tai-chi is on my list next!

    The studio is spacious and is on the top floor of an office building. Umang provides yoga mats and all the props. You do not need to pay extra to use her mats, which is a plus.

I am so happy to find you. I am really enjoying your way of teaching yoga. I joined 2 weeks before my ear surgery. It was a major surgery. I already know that yoga will make your recovery time shorten. It happened to me. I recovered within 2 days. I was advised by doctor to take at least 2 weeks recovery time, but I was able to go up an down the stairs in 2 days. Yoga really helped me through my surgery recovery time. Not only does Umang have an incredible and vast knowledge of yoga and what it can do for you, Umang truly cares about her students. I believe her goal is to have her students love and practice yoga as much as she does and have fun while you are doing it.
If you're looking for that "fix all" drug, one that gives you a better attitude, makes you more flexible, toned, and helps you lose weight, in my opinion, YOGA is it. Try it - you'll like it.

I would highly recommend Wellness Haven!! Umang is a wonderful instructor..She is really passionate about Yoga and that reflects so well in the way she teaches...She takes time to teach each pose and  explain the benefits . I highly recommend Umang's Yoga classes. All of us in our family including my 2 kids were always looking forward for her class. She takes time to teach specific asanas until you get it the right way.  She is extremely good with kids.  My daughter (6 years old) absolutely adores Umang.  Thanks to Umang, Yoga has become a routine in our lives. In short the Saturday morning yoga class has become the high point in our week.

We had Umang as our Yoga teacher for 6 months.   She taught our entire family which includes 2 children of ages 8 and 10.  Before this, none of us had any experience with Yoga.  Umang led us through baby steps and before we knew we were doing poses that we never thought we could do.  She not only showed us how to build physical strength, but also trained our minds to think positive, to think everything that you put your mind to is doable.  Umang is great with kids and has the right discipline to keep the class under control at the same time make the poses fun for children to look forward to the class. Both my girls absolutely love her.  We thank Umang for getting us started on the yoga path which we hope to continue for many years to come.

Encouraging Environment.

If you are someone that has never tried yoga and are looking for guidance on how to do poses correctly plus learn the fundamentals the Wellness Haven is perfect. Umang taught me the basic in my practice to achieve great alignment and true understanding of the benefits of poses. When her and I began almost three years ago I struggled with even the most basic poses because of my weight with her guidance and encouragement I pushed myself into daily practice. Now maintaining an ideal weight and have moved to the next level of my own practice. With Umang all can reach their fullest potential

I love going to Wellsness Haven. Umang's yoga session is a very good combination of physical and mental yoga. Various asanas, streches, twists are so good that you get the satisfaction of working out every part of your body. When you do the yoga you can feel how your heart rate goes up which you think will happen only when you workout in gym or park. I like the benefits and little tips that she shares while doing various poses. I look forward to my yoga class every week.

I have been doing yoga with Umang for past 3 months. I had never done yoga before but the way she conducts her class i don't think you need to worry about that. She mixes all styles of yoga in every class in a very efficient way. I guess, i don't need to talk about the benefits of yoga here, but I just want to say one thing, the level of energy, positivity and freshness that you feel when do yoga continuously is something.... i guess i don't have words to describe that feeling.. but truly yoga is an amazing experience.

When I first started at the beginning of the year, I was over a foot away from being able to touch my toes.  I wanted to try yoga, and Umang provided the perfect environment.  It wasn't itimidating, and she is very patient, knowledgeable and passionate about using yoga and meditation to transform you into the best you can be.

I am very blessed to have opportunities to take Umang's Yoga Classes in the Cafeteria.  Umang has been very generous and supportive of our APCA Japan Relief Campaign by donating a lot of Yoga classes for our fundraising and auction for Japan Relief.  With these Yoga Class Certificates for Japan Relief, I have just started my Yoga journey with Umang since early May.  The 2 special Group Yoga Classes for Japan Relief are very memorable, helping out the victims in need, and at the same time giving us opportunities to practice Yoga with our AT&T friends under the great teaching of Umang and sending love and blessing to the ones we dedicated the practices to.  I enjoyed all the various classes - Tue/Fri class for all levels, Mon/Thur Restorative class and Wed Advanced class.  These classes are very restorative and relaxing, but yet pushing us to our own enjoyable limit.  Thanks Umang for catering these classes for our individual needs and at the same time creating very smooth and positive energy for us to progress through the poses, stretching and breathing to attain physical, mental and spiritual improvement.  I treasure every class as a unique journey for exploring further in my body & mind, as well as progressing a little bit further each day with our One AT&T Yoga Community with motivation, guidance, and inspiration from Umang - where we can breathe in and circulate love & contentment in an enjoyable and relaxed way.  2 months of teaching from Umang is equivalent to lifelong inspiration for me to treasure and make use of in my future practices.  Thank you Umang for the excellent Yoga Teaching, and caring and inspiration in every aspect!

My experiences with Umang's Yoga classes have been wonderful. Umang is passionate about healthy living and communicates this effectively on all levels. When I joined the class, my body was not very flexible. With Umang's gentle coaching and encouragement, my body has become more flexible than it has ever been in 62 years. I am grateful to Umang for her positive attitude towards life. She helped me overcome barriers by providing her own life experience lessons. I would highly recommend taking Umang's classes wherever they are offered.

I'm a newbie to yoga, never thought that yoga is for me.  My friend invited me to a couple of Umang's classes, to my surprise; I actually enjoy yoga!  Thanks Umang!  Umang is a very passionate & inspirational teacher, she explains the benefits of each pose, and teaches many different poses, so a newbie like me can be challenged and so do the experienced yogis.  I'll continue to learn from Umang, and look forward to a healthier life that yoga brings!

Thank you for making the Yoga classes and routines fun and challenging. You have inspired me! I feel more vibrant and have learned to let go of things that zap my vitality and energy. Your constant reminders, words of wisdom and for touting the benefits of yoga have made me realize to not forgo my exercise routine and to ensure that there is time for personal rejuvenation. I have been taking Yoga classes from Umang Goel since SIX months. She is a great communicator and explains very well about Yoga postures. Umang is very dedicated and committed to teach yoga to new students. She has great passion in teaching yoga. Umang enjoys in seeing students improve themselves. What I Like: Small groups with personal attention. The workout area is clean and bright. A lot of variety in the poses, so a beginning student like myself can be challenged and advanced students are definitely not bored. An amazing and inspirational teacher. The empahsis is on a holistic approach to health and wellness.
Bottom Line: If you are looking for an authentic yoga studio taught by a woman who lives and breathes the philosophy of total health and wellness, give the Wellness Haven a try.

Relaxing. Fun. Encouraging.

That is how I would describe Umang's class. I am a big yoga fan and have been addicted to it since I was introduced to it in college. Among all my yoga instructors, Umang is one of my fav because she is really passionate and enthusiastic about this form of exercise. I love how she tells you the benefits of each pose because it helps me appreciate each movement that much more.

She also is very caring about all her students and understands the needs of each of them from her observations. That is not something many yoga instructors can provide. Everyone adapts to yoga in different ways and Umang hepls to provide guidance to where you need to be.

I am always thinking and talking to myself and her class is surprisingly something that helps me clear my mind and clean my spirit. Because of that, I look forward to her class more for my sanity. :)

I would definitely recommend her class for anyone because it will help you mentally, physically, and spiritually. Just do it !

I felt that I desperately needed this massage, and now i know why!
